Is the case and bell housing the same on this trans as one that would bolt to an m20?

No it would be different. The only getrag that had the removable bell housing was the 265

Ok well then ubfortunately wont work for me since i need an m20 compatible trans.

I've got one with a shot 4th gear synchro but I'm in the bay. Will be going to Santa Barbara next weekend though.
