    WTB: Automatic Shifter Wire (the wire that lights the gear selector)

    I'm looking for the wire that lights up the gear selector. One part of the wire goes does into the transmission tunnel and the other part of the wire holds the bulb which lights up the gear selector (so you can see P-R-N-D-2-1).

    Please see the picture below for the wire I am talking about.

    If its the one in the pic then I have it but not sure why its clipped. I bought the car to fix (had a broken timing belt) but it turned into a parts car for my other e30. Let me know if you need it.

      Thank you for the offer. I found out that the wire is attached to the neutral safety switch. I've already purchased a new one. If you know how to replace the neutral safety switch, I would love to know.
