I have a Bosch alternator that i bought brand new 1 year ago. In my data logs recently i've been noticing spikes to 17 volts.
It's in my track car which has a total of maybe 40 hours on it.
If your comfortable replacing the voltage regulator i'm happy to sell the alternator to you.
