    Factory repair manual - see section 51 16 026:


    To release the glass, use a thin flat-bladed screwdriver inserted into the hole at the bottom of the mirror cover to turn the white or black plastic ring just a bit. The ring is affixed to the back of the glass and engages with the base on the motor that moves the mirror. If you have heated mirrors there will be 2 small wires attached to the mirror plate with clips - gently pull them from the spade clips glued to the back of the mirror plate. The spades can come free from the glass plate - no big deal if you plan on replacing it.

      I may have an extra. I'll Check when I get home today. It probably has some hard water deposits onit but should still be ok.
