    Need M42 Upper Oil Pan!

just picked up my first e30, a '91 318is. after getting it home i realized there was a pretty massive oil leak. after degriming and cleaning i traced it down to a crack in the upper oil pan. so now im looking for a replacement!

ill post up some pictures as well

    thanks!

check the front timing cover, also a common leak area.

it looks like most of the common areas are leaking, replacing both oil pans since the stance life owner before me mustve destroyed it on something. other than that im replacing the oil housing gasket and oring, dipstick oring, as well as the valve cover gasket as those seemed to be the other potential leaks based on accumulated grime. hopefully the timing cover is ok as id prefer not to do that one
