Which radio? There were several different models that came in E30s and they are not all plug-and-play. Some cars came with Premium Sound, some with the fader control wheel located in the dash instead of in the actual radio, etc.Randy Walters

The 90 with Premium Sound should have come with the CM5908 "Pyramid" radio (with the infrared finger slider slot). My '89 325is came with this as did my friend's '90 325i.Originally posted by ethirtydavid View Post

What does your car have now? Do you know if the factory speaker connectors are present in the radio area? Is there a Fader Wheel in your dash?
I was able to install my 89's Pyramid Radio into my '88 (removed the Fader Wheel) but i think i had to get a harness adapter or sumthin so the radio's built-in fader interfaced with the Fader Wheel connections. Can't remember tho . . .Randy Walters
