    Need help! M42B18 or bust!

I would like to buy an m42 (318i) motor

Hi guys, I haven't been here for a while cause I've been trying to decide what to do with my e30. Because of the fact that I'm going to college in a few months, I have neither the time nor the money to do anything I want to do with the car. I have a hard decision in front of me: get it running and driving for the extremely low amount of money I have; or sell it... I do not want to sell the car. I've wanted a black e30 for a long time, found a nice one (a roller, but still), and now I'm gonna lose it probably. I have till June to get it out of storage or it's going on Craigslist. So please, anyone with an e30 318 motor and 5 speed laying around, I WILL BUY IT!!! I want to spend less than $500, I don't have any money of my own really, and what I do have I'm trying to save. I know it's a long shot, but if it can make my e30 last 5 years till I can actually do what I want with it, it's worth it.

Hey man, I have tons of 4 banger parts, but not assembled. I could get you all the components for sure, but you would need gaskets, seals, and other odds and ends.

Honestly if you dont have much money, its better off to sell the car and get a running honda or toyota. A engine replacement will take more then just that. You'll most likely be buying lots gaskets, seals, orings, and much more. It'll be about 1k after you finish.
Bought parts from me before? leave your feedback here

Yeah the thing is I have no use for this car in all honesty. I have a very nice Ford f250 that was already a project vehicle and is still being built somewhat, I also have a Jeep Rubicon that's my 'daily' which is also kinda an ongoing project. You're right, I should sell it, but I just really don't want to. The wiring harness and pretty much everything but the complete block+heads are actually in good condition and in the trunk too.
