FOUND: 5k Tachometer for BMW 325es

Looking for a tachometer for my '86 325es. I've changed the SI board, fuses, checked the grounding nuts, and the tach is still dead. This is the next step as far as I can tell.

The tach that fits my cluster has four mounting points in a square setup.

If you have one to sell, PM me a photo and price. Thanks!

I actually have one that came out of my 86 Eta. Don’t need it anymore because I’m doing a motor swap and put in a 7k. I can pm photos when I get home. In about 30 minutes. As long as you cover the shipping from NC to Hawaii, I’ll just give it to you. Probably around $10 or so. Better than it hanging out in my garage collecting dust haha

Thanks Redstar, mine has different mounting points, though, so that one won't fit. Updated the original post. I really appreciate it though!

There is an 86es in a junkyard near me. It had gauges last I checked. I could probably pull and ship to you if you covered the junkyard cost and shipping.

No problem bud! If you ever need anything else let me know. I have a bunch of Eta parts, and will have more soon haha

That would be amazing! I haven't been able to find a tach with the older red drum anywhere!

Thanks man! Going through the engine now, it runs great but I haven't had a good look at the condition of everything yet.

I seem to have found the only one on eBay, advertised in working condition. Here's to hoping it actually works!
