    WTB: Royal Blau Convertible fender

    Hi there,

as the title says looking for parts for my 87 325i vert, most notably and urgently i am looking for a RIGHT SIDE FRONT FENDER panel.

will consider other parts and would really like to find some basketweaves.

Located in Long Island NY but happy to pay for shipping or drive distances for the right part.

    thank

Just to let you know you can easily modify any e30 fender to work on a vert. You will have to cut the rocker panel off the bad one and weld it to the new fender after cutting its rocker off. It’s really easy to do. I have been working on these cars over 25 years and never had to buy a vert fender bc they used to be outrageous. But if you don’t have a un damaged vert fender rocker u can’t do it. You can also modify a 2dr door door to work on a vert also. That’s a lot of work. But back when I started rebuilding them those convertible doors were bringing$1500 each. So I wasn’t paying that especially when I knew that a 2dr was identical except for the window tracts. Cut them out n weld your good vert ones in and you just made a convertible door. I thought I would pass that knowledge along because I have never met anyone that knew that you can easily modify those parts. On the fender mod you just spot weld and the moulding that runs down the side of the car covers up your work. I do have extensive fabrication experience from working in NASCAR for 7 years. I have done my fair share of building a hanging bodies on the chassis which is a difficulty of 10+. The fender mod is a 1 shouldn’t be any trouble for a beginner that takes their time and plans it out. If you have any questions about any specifics just send me a PM and I’ll get back to you and help walk you through the process. Tools needed are a cut off wheel and a wire welder. Pro tip when cutting the sheet metal use masking tape for your guide line. Use a sharpie and connect the dots with the tape.
