Here’s the eBay lip I got . It physically looks good on the car and fits the shape of the valance nicely. The locations for the clips were not correct at all I spent maybe 10-15 grinding down the lip to get it to “clip in” correctly. All and all for $50 you really can’t complain obviously oem is the way to go but for someone on a budget it’s worth it :)

I’m still reassembling this e30 so ignore things that are missing and not properly aligned haha!

That looks good for a $50 purchase, however the lip doesn’t look 100% flush to the valance. If you’re on a budget I say go for it, but if you can dish out the $178 at the dealer and are peticular about things being 100% correct go for OEM.

Car looks good Hendrix, thumbs up

Yes thanks for the heads up. I was going crazy to find a black (not primered) iS lip. Thankfully FCP has it in black, but they want $237. Ouch.

Why are the competing websites selling it for less? Is it because they are primered? I don't get it.

They have a lifetime warranty on their products. So when you slam it on your driveway you can get a new one for the cost of postage instead of spending a lot more on a new one.

That is great to hear because my driveway entry sucks (huge lip because of the water from monsoons)! I'm thinking about testing the clearance out first because I don't think I can make it without scraping. Even with a angling the crap out of the car while backing out.

I'll go with FCP. Thanks for making that an easy decision!

Yeah my older brother and friends have all smacked their lips on the driveway. FCP makes it easy, if you want shipping to be cheaper too just cut the lip into smaller pieces so it’s a smaller box.

So it seems that all of the new ‘is’ lips are primered for paint and not black. This was also the case for FCP.

Any ideas where I can source a new all black plastic lip?
