Sob story. Need front bumper cover and kidney for $50 shipped

Well some bastard backed into my car today.

I need a front plastic bumper cover, kidney grille, and passenger side turn lense.

$50 is my budget for this.

    Thanks guys!

That is going to be nearly $50 in shipping costs alone... might want to try U-Pull-it or pick-a-part

      Nothing in the local yards.

A bumper cover is very light. Fed-ex ships even large packages inexpensively if the weight isnt too much.

As an example, FedEx ground would be between $10-15 for such a package from Socal to Utah.

      Thanks.

Not sure what you're smoking, but Fedex charges not only by weight but by size of the box. A box the size of an E30 front bumper would probably cost at least $50 to ship.

My local DHL staffed office is pretty cool. They ship purely on weight even when the box is huge. I shipped a complete front bumper DHL ground for around $23. That was with the heavy reinforcment. For just the bumper cover I bet it would be around $10 since it's so light. Plus sometimes the ground packages get shipped by air, I've had packages delivered from CA to the east coast in 4-5 days.

No way in the world would it cost $10 to ship a bumper. $35 at the VERY LEAST. Then price in cardboard, filler, and tape. Then add labor. $50 minimum.

No need for a box. Bubble wrap the bitch. That would be fine.

Joe, if it were just the skin, and depending on distance, it could go as low as $20. I just shipped an iS front airdam from my car through UPS to WA, and it was $20.88. The skin weighs next to nothing, it for sure weighs less than the iS airdam with it's rebar.
