Why not get a non cabrio trunklid? Ditch the 3rd brake light.

...and is illegal to not have the 3rd Brake Light on a car originally equipped with one. If you were involved in a rear-end accident it could be an issue. Even if somebody else rear-ended your car, you could be at fault for not having the proper "safety equipment" on your car. Really isn't worth the hassle for the improvement in looks.

BTW - you were looking for cabrio seats. If you just want parts to replace componets of your existing seats: M3 seats will also have the same horizontal stitch pattern leather, and any E30 sport seat will work for side bolster foam parts. Any E30 sport seat will fit in the cabrios - cabrio specific seats just have a plastic stopper to prevent the seat from reclining into the wide rear side panels, this can be removed from the seat for more reclining comfort - see my old thread:

The foam on my current seats is moldy and/or missing chunks, but I believe they can be fixed. I have a friend who builds furniture for a living and he said he would be able to rebuild them. I've thought about getting another set of seats and transfering the seat heaters to those and having them recovered, but It seems like that may be more trouble than it's worth.

I retrofitted factory OEM seat heaters into my car - it wasn't that hard.

hmmm maybe it's not too bad then. Joe, do you have a full set of cabrio rears and sport fronts? I dont care about the leather as long as the foam is good.

The long seat back lift handle of a non-cab seat will hit the thicker cab door pillar.

Nope, same handle - part numbers are the same between cabrio and coupe.
