    WTB: M Technic badge

Part #13. The Dealer can't get them, and so far I have been unable to locate any. I need 2, 1 for the front and 1 for the rear. Does anyone know where I can buy them or have one for sale?

Give BAV a try...call Ian at 800-535-2002 X1251. I have had good luck with them getting rare items.
'89 "is" = M technic II build mode.

RealOEM doesn't show a part number for #13. We will check with a BMW rep and post up a price whenever we find out whether this is NLA or not. :)

I tried the dealership and BavAuto, both said is was not longer available. If you can get it, you're my hero!

We heard nothing about NLA from our BMW rep.

            51 11 1 919 154 is the part number and we got them for $1.07. :)

Are you sure it's the same part? RealOEM lists:

              13 EMBLEM FRONT M TECHNIC 1 51142231593 ENDED
              13 EMBLEM ADHERED REAR M TECHNIC 1 51142251228 ENDED

I'll ask for a picture from our rep, but he referenced that part number from the image found on RealOEM. I asked for #13 and that's what he got.

I also need two. Please let me know Erick!!!

It is the FRONT badge that is pretty rare, I hear the rear is not as hard. The front has mounts like the E30 M3 ///M badge...

Hell, I'll take 6 if you can do it. I am looking for the rear, not the front...the front was NLA from the wholesale department of my BMW dealer.

I figure you can just stick a rear badge on the front...they look the same. I know they attach differently but if the fronts are near impossible to find, then I'll take what I can get. I still haven't found a srouce though. The small vinyl stickers that come on the rocker panels are still available though. I might just use one of those on the rear if no luck with the big badge.

I had a brand new OEM NOS one. (Front mount)
I gave it to a friend with a worthy project.

                      They are legitimately NLA.
You're only hope is to find an obscure tuner/collector who still has one, or buy a used one... if you can find one.

                      Good luck!

I know who has a front one, if anyone is in dire need, you may get it from him...for a price. PM me if you are truly interested.
