This head has never been cracked, and there is no core charge. I am a little flexible on the price, but not majorly. It is the only M42 cylinder head that I have.

$500 rebuilt heads have been cracked and welded. This is a known good cylinder head that came off of a personal car, and it is fully assembled and literally ready to bolt on. The motor was taken apart because it had the profile gasket failure, and I let it sit too long before I fixed it, and it spun a bearing.

So, in short, nope. not kidding.

Going a step further, I would never reuse a cracked and welded cylinder head. There are enough good heads out there...

                  PS: Be glad you don't own an M3, M5, or <gulp> M635.

I'm glad I don't have any of theose other motors.
I'll be glad when I don't have the E30 anymore too.
                    :)
                    Thanks

I'll pass. I can go local and get a head already cleaned pressure tested and machined for $400
