e30s are like fat girls that USED to be hot, you just gotta work them out to make them hot again.

How do you intend to paint a hardtop (which is covered in fabric)?

That might be cool. Is it fiberglass underneath?

Yea, I don't think I've ever seen one in person long enough to tell if this would work or not. It would be a welcome alternative to the fabric look, which is blah sometimes.

Here is a picture of a painted hardtop. i am in the midst of doing mine as well. More than just stripping fabric and spraying some paint. You need to skin coat the fiberglass and smooth before primer and paint.

                      Not mine

It's funny 'cause I almost bought this car like 5-6 years ago, it looked nice on the outside but was piece of crap otherwise

here are few more pics of painted hardtop (not my car)

I may have another hardtop for sale, how much are you willing to pay for it?

I am also looking for one. Anyone have a good quote on shipping? I can drive to get one, but obviously paying $200 in gas would have to be worth it.
