roll bar

I'm looking into a roll bar and would like to find one used to save a few bucks. Preferably one that partially disassembles with bolts for easier shipping/ installation.

Want to ship or drive your car up to Atlanta and let us put a custom welded one in?

A bar that comes apart easily / installs easily etc. will not fit the car well or provide a great stiffness and safety increase.

Or more or less or different, which is the choice you get to make with a custom bar instead of something off the shelf.

Of course the price is higher also.

I disagree on the fit issue.
I've used a Safety Devices roll bar in another car and it fit perfectly in every way, and I'm pretty particular.
I do, however, agree on the stiffness and marginal safety aspects. But, not everyone is prepared to do a permanent, welded modification like this in a car that may only see very occasional track use. BTDT. At least that's the thinking until you become addicted to such things, and build your own dedicated race car. ;)

yeah, I don't do enough tracking currently to spend for the welded setup. still looking for a used bar.
