hmmm...I have a Solomon that I'm too big for.

I'll check the size when I get home...shipping a board would be a pain in the ass :(

Its really not that bad to ship them, Ive sold boards on ebay and shipped them for $30.

        Good luck on the search..

I have a santa cruz XXX 151 I believe, i'll check on the size.

I also have a salomon 156 I've been riding, I've been looking for a longer board but I'd probably like to keep the 156 too....see if you can talk me out of it though :)

Sidecut is more important than people give credit. What was your last board & how did you like it?

More sidecut on a longer board will make it turn sharper, hence feeling like a shorter board, but with the all-mountain benefits (deep snow float, etc.) of a longer one.

I ride a Libtech Litigator, but thanks to the sidecut it feels like a lot of moderate sidecut 163,165's.

Or are you looking for a cheap deck for rail/logslides that you plan to destroy in 3-4 days?

It's not how you handle the good times, but the faith you keep in the bad that defines you.

Libtech has excellent side cut. I rode my bro's Jamie Lynn and it was awesome.

I gotta say it's hard to ride anything else after a Lib or a Gnu. I was making/given another brand of decks, and I still rode/wore out my LIB decks, just because there is no comparison board to Litigators or Emmagators.

if you're going to buy new, imo a lib or gnu with magne traction is the best option. hand made, seemed edges that stop before the tip and tail, leaving urethane bumpers that are repairable with 2 part apoxy in the event of impact damage.

magne traction has 7 points of contact as opposed to 2. while you ride it doens't feel that much different, but you can ride base heavy without catching an edge, which is cool. a lot of kids detune the edges to ride parks, but because of the magne traction they can still ride the rest of the mountain fine. also, you can carve on ice, rather than washing out. it's pretty cool.

i can't wait to try the new banana tech. it has reverse camber putting the energy between your feet, supposed to turn easier, more like a skateboard. I'm buying one as long as they still have them left to pro form in a couple weeks.

heh. i manage a snowboard shop, been there for 7+ years

tell me what type of riding you do, your height, your weight, and how long you've been riding, and what you're looking to spend, and I can make some suggestions

i know this isn't directed to me but can i take you up on that offer? If so im 5'9 200lbs been riding for 4-5 years now and I just free ride through bushes and back country and just enjoy myself. I don't do any of that terrain park stuff, but i do drop offs on cliffs and little 3 footer jumps and stuff. and im looking at give or take $300.

                              Thanks!
