Like the title says...I'm trying to piece together parts and finish this. Having a little trouble finding a tranny. Let me know what you have that'd work!
Thanks
They are the same transmission. It's either the 265 Sport CR Box or the 265 OD Box. The Sport is a dogleg box, not as robust, and is expensive as hell. The Overdrive is standard pattern, very robust, and not too unreasonably priced.

Hey Ben, knowing what we know now, do you have the OD?
Yeah, but umm... its in my daily driver, and I don't really plan on taking it apart anytime soon. Also, the 265 OD came in all 1985 535i/635csi/735i, as well as the Euro 535i, E12 528i (80-81) and E30 M3.
I would honestly recommend just using the regular 260/6 that came in the '86 and later M30 powered cars. The 265 is overkill for an E30M30 swap, unless you plan on changing the clutch frequently or going turbo, and even then the 260/6 can handle a lot of power.
Good luck on your search and I HTH. Also check mye28.com

There are 2 Bens on here...too much to handle. I'm planning on going turbo...but I don't feel like changing the clutch regularly...never heard this before.
Well if anyone sees/has one you all know I'm looking!
The 265 has removable bellhousing, making a clutch job supposedly a lot easier. Not sure how this would be an E30 considering the lack of space.
