I can get you a ZF for $750 or a Cardone for 550.
If you want to get more aggressive, I can get you an e36 M3 change over kit for around 650. its the most change for the dollar, but is also the hardest to install.

I can also build a 1.5:1 steering quickener in to a stock steering column which is an awesome upgrade for around $450.
I just need a donor column or a core charge so I can pick one up locally.
This is the same thing I did to my rally car and it works awesome.
You have to remove everything from your column including the lock cylinder and the turn signal//wiper switches.
Then unbolt the column at the steering u-joint and loosen the bracket at the pedal assembly. The easiest install of the bunch, especially if you don't have a lift. Also, you won't have to get the car aligned which is a bonus.
All in all, it should take less than 2.5 hours to complete the job. The down side is, it usually takes me a few days to get through on of those builds simply because of distractions and such in the shop. but if you have time, I can hook it up.

    Peace and speed.

How is you guys' track record with Cardone stuff? I work for a retail chain that carries them and we have a lot of items (especially power steering pumps) coming back with complaints. Just curious.

"See, we're adding a little something to this month's sales contest. As you all know, first prize is a Cadillac Eldorado. Anyone wanna see second prize? Second prize is a set of steak knives. Third prize is you're fired."

Our experience with them is limited to be honest.
Our main supplier doesn't deal with them, so we only use that stuff when we have to.
We did have a "rebuilt" axle explode on us after just a few hundred miles.
But I don't have a long enough record to say that one instance can speak of them one way or the other. They sell stuff cheap and we all knwo that you get what you pay for. Thats why we drive BMW's.
I always say, if its a matter of a few hundred dollars, look around the house. I bet you have enough crap to ebay to come up with the difference.
Some useless junk in the attic isn't going to make your car turn better :)
