      sorry bro
That may be true, but if I know the M20 like others on this board, a 200k M20 is just getting broken in, bro.

We are dealing with the BMW E30 here, mate. You can't really compare mileage with wear as you might with other cars of a different, more 'domesticated' branding and style.

I have a complete M20B25 with over 200k on it, I'm near Lansing. Could consider delivery, but I'd like at least $400 for the motor. Let me know...

Is this price for the engine, ECU, and harness? If so then this would be a great opportunity for Wayfast. That would be a great deal for just the long block....minus the oil pan.

        Good luck with the sale!!

200k engine'll require a HG and VJ at a minimum and soon depending on oil change regime over its life. I wouldn't pay 450 without good and reliable compression numbers both wet and dry.
Yes, these engines can go well over 300k but only with proper care though.

thank you! man i thought i was going crazy or something, with the prices these people want. the guys at bodywerks want 1K for one WTF... imma hit up parts galore on monday. $220 for a complete engine with a 3 month warranty doesn't sound too bad.

                forget bodywerks.
they are a bussiness so there's overhead, profit and employee labor costs.
the cheapest and w/headache and time consuming way : buy a car, keep the engine and sell remainder piece by piece. the engine may end up costing you 0$.

I'm asking $1k for my engine but mine is a 20k mile factory re-built from bmw, cost $4.5k in 2001. I think I told you that already ( craigslist last yr)

yeah i've thought about that also... but living in an apartment, makes it not so easy to part out a car. they weren't too happy when i did a headgasket R&R.

yeah, that was me. i'd love your engine, but thats just more than i could afford.

I don't know what a 10x20 space in a storage facility costs these days or if the money made on parting out the car can justify it but that is how I managed to work on my car when my apartment management frowned on things like that.
