I have gray carpet great shape on the underside. not do great upside, discolored needs serious cleaning or die. No damage.
Asking 22$ for the bother of packing and lugging the 45# box to the fedex office. costs roughly 1$ per pound to ship though.

im in Boston area with a gray 318is carpet in pretty good shape, but it was cut to remove like everyone does and the cuts aren't visible when it's installed. I shampooed it and it's pretty good, if $50 isn't too much for you and you're willing to drive down to Boston or pay for shipping I will lug it out of basement and take a picture in the sunlight. let me know -Sam

Thanks for all the help so far!

I will pass on the one thats rough on the top. Thanks anyway.

          Will send PM to Mossman.

Really loooking for a charcoal black - I have never seen one in the e30 - only the e28 - if the e30 never had the charcoal black ( much darker than the grey ) please let me know so I can stop sounding stupid.

People have told me there is a charcoal black e30 carpet and thats really what I want, but dont want to leave my car torn apart all summer while looking for one.

          I will settle for grey.

          Thanks!!

I dyed mine after pressure washing. It is black now, looks great, feels pretty normal, but not as soft as stock. If you really want black, go for it.

I was told that the nearest to black is the dark grey, nowhere near black. The big white/yellow bleach spots on mine were optional, apparently. Might have been a DIY project by the PO, don't know.

When I pulled the carpet out, I used my handy little pressure washer ($150 job from Home Depot) to blast it clean...I never used soap, but TONS of foamy soapy stuff came out. Spilled stuff from a trip to the laundromat, I assume.

When done, and dried for a week, it smelled and looked great (except for the optional bleach stain) but felt wonderful, like new.

When I dyed it, I used VHT carpet dye, about 5 coats, brushing while wet(!) with a plastic scrub brush. It really does look and feel nice, but not 100% like new.

On the other hand, for $26 in spray dye and 5 hours work, it is really really nice.

I find I just don't rub my floor all that often...

The picture of the dark grey/charcoal grey carpet in the thread is what I am looking for.
I am also interested in black.
