WTB: A decent aftermarket stereo

Well my 91 318is came with an old Sony CD player installed.. all silver with blingy lights that looks terrible in the dash. On top of that the CD player does not work. So it's bad news.

That being said, I'm looking for a good deal on an aftermarket stereo. If you have one sitting around I'd like to know about it! I'd especially likes something that plays MP3s and or WMAs. Just about everything does these days. I don't care about much else.

i got a cassette player stereo that i want to get rid of. want it? :)

jokes aside, it's got two pretty decent amps and a so-so equalizer. if you're interested in those i can find out what mfg/model they are.

I'm fresh out of cassettes ;) PM me the info on the amps. I am thinking about a single 8 or 10" in the back. Nothing crazy. If there's a 4 channel I'd just bridge two channels and use 2 for the rear speakers. Then power the fronts off the HU when I find one. Thanks!

i checked the amps, they are concord ca2020's. i dont know if there any good but fyi.

i was looking at the Alpine 9855 its got cd/mp3/wmv/ipod (if you buy there cable) its about 225 shipped from amazon (with ipod cable)

Yeah I"m just trying to decide how much I want to put into this thing stereo-wise. I also have a 2006 Z4 M Roadster with the Carver THX Certified system in it, and it's fan-fricking-tastic. I don't want to get caught up trying to make the e30 sounds as good :) I already did that on my wife's X5 and it gets too expensive too quickly.

So I'm just hoping someone has a head unit that they're not using that they'll make me a good deal on.
