Bavauto sells the anthracite sunroof panel/headliner combo for $315 shipped. Would BMA get it for cheaper?

BMA and BMW both say it's no longer available, yet Bavauto says they can order it...it probably is NLA and bavauto just can't see that in their system???

Whatever the case, I still need this. James, if you're reading this, where did you source yours?

Anyone parting out a '91 318is with a black headliner and sunroof panel, please let me know.

If I recall correctly, James got one of the last OEM ones available. Biatch! lol.

If you just grab some of the Duplicolor fabric/vinyl dye/spray, on a good condition headliner, it will do a good job making your dingy one black/new looking. FYI

And yes, m3's and 91 318is' had them. Not all though.

Probably couldn't do that inside the car could I...would probably need to pull it first, right?

What duplicolor product do you recommend using specifically (and what color)?

                    James...I envy you...

don't think I could use it...probably wouldn't be enough fabric to cover everything. Thanks though

And yes, you need to pull it out of the car first, which means the glass will be coming out too.

Front glass needs to come out anyway because its pitted and cracked...I figure I'll get a nice fresh chrome strip for the rear window since it needs to come out as well. Then, I'll spray and reinstall the headliner...then, recover the drivers side bolster...and at that point I will have a very mint looking lachssilber m-tech 1 on grey houndstooth/black headliner with lots of euro goodies and fresh paint...not to mention RS 001's.

Thanks for your help man...By the way, I fell in love with your car at the picnic. Can't believe what you paid for your RS's!! Stay tuned for the picture thread for my car when everything is said and done...

I used the same vinyl & fabric dye as well. instead of removing the headliner, I just removed all the interior and taped the glass/ covered the dash....
