    Need hood in Tacoma area

Paint is not an issue. Just needs to be straight. My car is at the painter over by port of Tacoma (Marine view collision, 2914 Marine View Dr.). I'm up in Bellingham so if you could deliver to the painter, you'd be doing me a favor. Can anyone help me out? Thanks

I got an okay shape black hood off an 87 cabrio, has some dings/dents that would need to be pulled out (no biggie if you are painting it)

how much?...how bad are the dings and dents (i.e., how many hours of bodywork labor pre-paint)? Can you deliver to Marion (the painter)?

I would say any decent body guy (IE mine) could take care of it in less then an hour, the paint is mainly rock chipped to hell. Personally I would repair it (and you know my quality criteria)

        $100 delivered work?

I'm gonna inquire about the cost of a new aftermarket hood, cuz the painter can have one delivered...it may end up being around the same price after repair costs, but I don't know

I will warn you this much about aftermarket hoods, inspect them very carefully as I have seen several where the fit is far from perfect (same applies to aftermarket fenders etc)

It depends if you want a 10ft car (where aftermarket body pieces can apply) or a 1ft car (where I would prefer oem parts)

hmm...interesting. I didn't think fitment would be that drastically different. You know I'm a 1 ft kinda guy.

Anyone else have any experience with aftermarket hoods?
