I'll have one out of a '91 318 in a few days if that would work.

          Euro cluster installed yesterday

Interesting thread. I just swapped out my US cluster for a German one I had sent over. The german production date was 3/87 and my US one was 8/90. It was mostly a direct swap. The three main plugs , yellow blue and white plugs went right in. I had to bring over from the US cluster a green plug reciever which connected via 4 pins to the bottom of the speedo. It took one two pin plug
There are a number of differences. First the speedo is Km only no US miles.
the fuel gauge is in liters and the fuel economy is in Km /liter. There are different icons on the lower idiot light strip. A preliminary evaluation shows all the needed information and data provided by the US cluster is also on the german one .

Once done you have to remember you need to retrain your thinking to transcribe the Km/hr reading to miles/hr

I also have a german check panel which is also kind of interesting
