          You should specify if you want early or late. Early is 2 channel, has the fader on the dash. Late is 4 channel and has the fader in the deck.

            That's interesting StereoInstaller. I'm curious. I looked up part numbers and it seems that the amplifier is the same for my '87 325is (has fader in the dash) and my '90 M3 (fader in the deck). Are the differences from the eta cars and others?

            I got an amp from an '88 M3 and the part number was exactly same as my M3. It's installed now and works perfectly. Thanks for all the replies.

              Interesting, for sure! I always just yank them out, but I remember them being different plugs and all...dunno about the M3 part, though. Might change things.
