HR race, IE 3s, or springs with similar spring rates.

why would you want to buy used shocks? springs i can ALMOST understand, but not shocks.

Because when you are buying Bilsteins you are buying a lifetime guarantee part. They very seldom go bad and if they do Bilstein will replace them. There's nothing wrong with buying used springs if they are from a company like H&R either. They are made from high quality wire and they last a long time, probably forever unless you are using your E30 as a logging truck.

I think I've got the parts you are looking for or at least close to it. The shocks and struts are Bilstein Sports and the springs are H&R 29206. I'm in Sacramento. Send me an e-mail. germancarsonly@gmail.com

this might be true but none of it is free. by the time you pay for shipping and bilsteins costs you could have bought new. also you have to provide receipts from a certified dealer.

I honestly don't know how the guarantee works to the public as my ex Brother-in-Law was the Bilstein race shock tech guy for years and still does consulting work for them. I just work through him when I need something.

Bilstein wants buyers to work through their dealers and they are really good about supporting their dealers. If you blow a seal they want you to return the part to whoever you bought it from. But, I do know of people that have bought cars with Bilsteins installed on them and have sent the the parts down to Poway for replacement at no charge. If you have a problem you need to call Bilstein and probably talk to Kevin.

Shipping isn't that much and you are probably going to pay it for new parts also.

The bottom line is Bilsteins are very good shocks and struts and seldom fail. They hold up better than Konis or KYBs.
