    WTB: Manual Steering Rack

My power steering pump took a shit today and my rack pisses all over the place and I'm poor. Anybody have a manual rack?

    Thanks.

So you just got a shorter belt and took the pump out of the loop? Sounds like a good temporary fix.

And yes, the 318 and 325 racks are the same.

shorter belt??? on an M20 it is 3 seperate belts, one for power steering, one for alternator, and one for AC. Do you have a serpentine cause its an M42??? but yes its a good temp or perm fix

I have a nice manual rack from a Euro 323i that I probably don't need to hang on to any longer. How much are you willing to spend on a manual rack?

Did you get the $100 for the last one you sold? That's about my budget. Let me know.

            Thanks.

DOOD, just stop filling it up. It stops pissing, you lose power steering, you spend no money.

Thats what I did with my rack in my M42.

Yup, $100 + shipping. My E30 drag racer project is on hold for the next few months and I will sell this rack. I have a good friend moving to Germany and he can find me another when I need it.

I have an e36 rack that I ran for awhile without PS, and it leaks pretty bad. PM me if you are interested.
