I have one with 141k, 11k on a rebuilt head. Worked perfectly, purred like new, perfect compression. Yanked it because I'm S52ing the car. All it needs is an oil pan gasket. if you're up for the drive to Boston I'd hook you up on the price.

Most of the M20's will have high miles unless they were trailer queens, or rebuilt recently. Either way, if mine was low mileage it wouldn't be $400 and I probably wouldn't be selling it!

This "low mileage" thing has been one of my pet peeves recently. The average M20 engine is 20 years old now. So, if you drive only 10,000 miles a year it is going to have 200,000 on the odometer. Oh yeah and then there is the deal with the odometer gears that have been failing for many years. Kind of hard to really know the mileage when it's broken. How many of us have had that happen?

I know there are some cars out there that truly have low miles, but they or their engines don't end up for sale very often. And when they do they aren't cheap.
