You can get them used for 60-70 bucks from the dealer.

I reccomend the e46 weighted ZHP knob.

I have a weighted (non-M3) vinyl one in real nice shape or a great wood one that came out of my E36 325is. $25 fo the weighted one and $20 for the wood one. Add $5 for shipping.
