thanks guys...I am going to try to go to the salvage yard tomorrow or friday.

also, i talked to my friend last night who has agreed to fix my car on his own time....he said he had a buddy that could "roll the frame" or tighten the frame? anyway, he said that if that worked, then he could get the dents out. If not, I will need a quarter panel. I will contact you asap.

It sucks that your car is totaled. You might be better off to find another car though. You are going to end up spending more to repair it than it's worth unless your friend is going to work for free. Even then it may cost too much. Plus you still have a totaled car, just one that has been repaired.

I've bought many wrecked E30s over the last few years and I always add up the cost of repairing them before parting them out. I've fixed 1 out of over 20 cars. Yup, I can do my own body work and will take on just about anything. And I'm semi-retired so my labor isn't too costly.

Go check the price of the paint and materials it will take just to paint itwhen the major body work is done and that alone should make you change your mind. Plus, your friend that does body work is taking on a really big job and you have to take care of him. Then the used body parts you need are going to cost you maybe $ $300 to 400?

Used E30s are a dime a dozen right now. Find a clean car and just transfer any cool parts you have into the car you buy. Sell off what you don't need.

Your car got totaled and you should just let it go.

What you said is all I have been thinking about all day. I have been looking for one online. Around here, these cars are hard to find and anyone that has one, is extremely attached to it. Thanks for the input. I think that your post helped push me along in the right direction.
