Reason I ask is because I have a silver label off my parts car. I am also running a silver label w/ a Korman chip in my m50'ed e30. Why do you need a red one?

You can use a silver. You just need a non-EWS chip.

yeah they work the same. I'll run the chip # when I get off work to see if its the EWS delete chip. But I don't think you really need that anyway. If you don't give the big green wire power than you should be fine. I ran my m50 on a silver lable w/ a stock chip in my e30. I can plug it into my car and see if it runs in the e30 w/ the bav chip even if its not an EWS delete chip.

How about the one I had listed on eBay? The one that was rebuilt recently by ProgRama. I can install the JC chip I have in it for you and I also have the mounting bracket to hold it in the E30 dash. I am not going to use it so make me a fair offer and I can stick it on Priority Mail today.

Have one 413 silver (locking tabs on DME cover not in greatest shape), but works - have it as spare on my S50 motor...$ 160 shipped
Worked on the S50 OBDI have so no issues on the EWS stuff
