    distributor replacement, springs

    just got into an e30 (after many e36's) and PO tells me the car needs a distributor replacement to get up and running again (along with a couple other parts i already have). also could use a set of used lowering springs if anyone has one they want to unload for a good price.

      What car is it for? I got a GOOD cap and rotor (thats all it is) for the 325i/super eta for 17 shipped.
      Also a good set of ignition wires for 30 more for the 325i/super eta.

          i have an 85 325e. still trying to learn all the e30 lingo but i believe i don't have the super eta. if that part worked for my car i would paypal you the money immediately :(

              Yeah the wires are a fit, they will just have an extra plug for the later motronic which you can just snip off (your car doesnt use it)

              Actually if you want to buy the rotor new its about 20 bucks from autohausaz, the ones i have wont work (well at least the rotor anyways). The caps are all the same, they are 50 bucks new but i can send one for like 11 shipped.

              from autohausaz they are like 50 but i have a bunch of them.
              Another option is to upgrade to the better cam sprocket, it looks like it has spokes instead of being flat on one side and accepts the later style rotor retainer. Doing that you have to replace your timing belt however (its recommended anytime you release the tension on your belt. That brings me to another point, if you dont have records, replace the belt ASAP!

                  Thanks for the input. I am still working on getting the car up and running but anything I need to replace asap I will definitley take care of. Ordering a new timing belt right now. I will get back to you on the cap once i make sure its needed. Thanks again
