    WTB: 325is engine

my uncle is giving me his e30 but it has a blown headgasket. and if the head is cracked i dont even wanna bother. anyone have a 325is engine for cheap? going in an (87?) or 88 i think.

if there any other "plug and play" engines? i figure if i swap with the same engine it would be easiest.

An M20B25 is what you're after. Just some FYI, the 325i and 325is have the same engine. It's an 'i' engine. The 's' is purely cosmetic (with the exception of the lsd), which has nothing to do with the engine. Not bashing, just some info for ya. And I'm sure you'll get a lot of offers seeing that you're in Socal lol. Good luck!

For a true plug and play, you will definitely want to verify what his car is. 87s and 88s have very different harnesses that are not easily compatible.
