Hey guys, pulling my transmission soon to install rear main seal and inspect my clutch - figure it would be the best time to drop a new shifter in as well.

Let me know what ya got, thanks..
what do you guys think about this?

(do people even check the wtb section??)

you can get the kit from understeer.com and bma. good piece to add on to take out slop. you want to replace the T shaped piece:

        definitely gonna replace parts 14-19
that kit is $90 including shipping, I wonder if I can get the shifter rod cheaper and just order the other parts through bmw..

I sold an e30 with z3 shifter, I need new one.

i dont see why not. you might be able to source all of it at the dealer as all the parts that they put in that kit are on that link i posted. just have to look up a z3 1.9 and get the part # for the shift rod.

I'm going with the z3 2.8/3.0, I should have specified.
I have been looking around more, looks like KO performance will sell me the whole kit for 75 shipped. Not bad..

real oem is your friend, with a 2600 post count i would think you knew about it already, but oh well here it is:

i replaced #7,8-15 on my eta along with the z3 kit. its pretty solid now, still a lil bit of side to side play, but not more than maybe 1/4-1/2". and 1/2 is on the extreme side, its less than that.

OP, IIRC I have a Z3 shifter sitting in my garage. Brand new, never used. PM me if interested.
