    Modded brake booster?

    Does anybody have one?

THR just raised the price on theirs by nearly $100.

    I'm hugely overbudget since I decided to go OBD-I S52 vs M50tu.

Any truth to the myth that E21 boosters work with M/S5x swaps? If so, that's another possibility for you.

From what I've read you can use the e21 booster if you modify it a little bit, I think that would be the cheapest option. Just my 2 cents

You can but you have to cut/weld/rethread the shaft from what I understand. Apparently you can also use an ix booster, and the boosters out of 944/924s as well.

Just trying to save a bit of coin anywhere possible!

damn Buddy, i wish i would have known you were going 24v when i still had my e21 booster. FWIW, last i heard the e21 booster was a direct swap out. no modding needed. but i could definately be wrong.

There is so much info out there already on this issue.

You can use the e21 booster if you either cut off the shaft and weld on the e30 one, or if you rethread either the shaft and/or the e30 fork to fit.
Even easier than that is using the Porsche 924 or 944 booster. All you have to do is cut the shaft a little shorter. It's already the right thread. The 924 booster is tiny though, so I would try to find a 944 one first so the pedal isn't too hard.

There are other options as well, so search

After playing with one of these swaps first hand, I can tell you that you are gonna hate your life for a short time.

Don't be a dick, notice I have all the information that you posted already in mine a few posts up?

This is the PARTS WANTED section, not the "I'm a lazy noob who won't search for info" section.

This section is where people come to post items that they would like to purchase from other people. So unless you have a brake booster sufficiently modded for a 24v swap, take your piss poor attempt at "pwning" me and go elsewhere.

                Have a nice day.

My bad. I wasn't trying to bash on you. I was more directed at some other people in your thread posting asking about the "myth" that the e21 booster would work, and that that they heard the e21 booster is a direct swap...
I just forgot to quote them.

                      B-bump!

I got a PM from someone yesterday with one, but they have yet to PM me back with a price shipped.

I have money ready to go.

Let me know what you need.
