    I know how to do the upgrade, but I wouldn't bother without going straight for the i head, which is exacly what I did on my 86. You'll get a few more HP and better fuel economy on just the 1.3 upgrade, though.

      Well, Im not going to do anything to the bottom end or pistons, and an "i" head would put my compression at about 8.3:1 and Im not going turbo, id say the 1.3 upgrade is more than worth it to me. I have an 885 head that i could mill down but the possible risk involved isnt worth it to me on my DD.

        I milled mine 0.040", ported it, the i intake and exhaust manifolds, and drove it 150 miles per day for over 60k miles. Thrashed the crap out of it every single day. Not one problem. You should consider that your next step (though 40 thou was a bit hairy and it makes the head unusable on an M20B25. I did get great gas mileage out of it, too. You can run a 3.25 if you want so long as you watch the revs on the entrance ramps.
