New Dashboard

I want to swap in a brand new dashboard (don't want a 20 year old one that will crack in one year). I've seen a couple brand new ones for sale here or on some forum, so I thought I'd check first if somebody has one laying around.

If not, what's the best place to buy one?

Please don't send me offers for used ones.

Dealer. They are not that expensive IIRC. I think the ballpark is about $250-$300? Plus, according to Jordan, they are made with newer plastic, and are much blacker than anything you'll find used.

I thought they were more like $600?

PM Blunt he will have the best price by far. I quoted one a few weeks ago from him and IIRC it was in the $700 range. (Do not hold me to that) Everywhere else I checked it was $850+

anyone ever attempt to recover their old dash? I am thing of doing that in fiberglass, then painting it to match interior.

I wrap my uncracked 20 year old dash with top grade leatherette. The sew lines makes it look so much more... expensive of a car. Gives the interior a less el cheapo feel.

I have yet to see a well recovered dash. All those I see on ebay look horrible!

That's not such a bad price. Thanks for the tip. I'll wait to see if somebody has one sitting around. If not, I'll contact him.
