Hi folks. New to the e30 game, bought an '85 318i that had the m10 idle/throttle issues, figured it would be an easy fix. Now after weeks of troubleshooting and work and a few small parts I'm pretty sure the AFM is shot beyond repair service. Don't want to spend $400+ for a rebuilt one just to still have an old m10. Also 3rd gear is out, so there's that.
So, I'm looking for something to swap into it. from my research, hopefully m20b25, m30b35, m50b25 or something similarly simple/worthwhile. not looking for huge power, and my budget is relatively low. I'm in Montana so shipping would be preferred, but for the right engine at a good price i could come pick it up. show me what you got.
