I believe the early units have the coding plug in the rear. My 86 has the later cluster and it has the coding plug in the front

1984 speedo goes to 140 with the 10mph spacing. 1985 goes to 140 with the 5 mph spacing. 86 up go to 150. The early ones are rear codic.
