    FS: Datsun 1200 1972 SCCA

    What we have here is my LOOOONG term project that just never got into a motivated place in my shop. It is a 1972 Datsun 1200 that has lived its life on the track. From new car delivery it has been on the road courses of the southeast. Multi-time Nationals winner in GT5, before GT4/5 gave way to GT-lite. With a well set up A12 in place this would be a EXTREMELY competitive car. No title(since 1972 ;) ), but Logbooks back to '76. It needs refreshed and a powerplant and diff. Everything else is pretty well there. If you want pics post here and I will update with pics and more info.

                  S52? I don't think so. It came with a 1.2 from the factory which was tight. This engine bay BARELY fits an SR20 which is what part of the plan was....

                  I keep hearing LS1 this, LS1 that... engine bay is the size of one valve cover :D

                              Is it on GRM's classifieds or SCCA's? They have free listings. Maybe someone will want a GRM Challenge car since most of the work is done.

                                      you should post the car on club4ag. those guys would love that car and im positive those wheels on em can fetch about half your asking price alone.

                                              my dad had one of these when i was just a midget. His pics of it looked sweet. Gotta love the original sportcars out there. Def throw it on GRM.

                                              F$#* the LS1! that motor sucks. good for nothing except making a lot of noise.
