I have no idea if they're any drummers on the board or not. Worth a shot.

The snare can play as loud, if not louder than a metal snare, while still having the depth of a wooden snare.

that's a bad snare- who makes the black panther stuff? i'm not real familiar with them, but it looks nice. the bolt bases look like Sonor ...anyhow, i'm looking to get a kit and start playing again, but would rather piece together a custom set since i'm not a beginner. let's talk....shoot me a pm on what you'd be willing to do payment wise- money's a bit tied up at the moment but i'm interested-

Interesting observation on the bolt bases, I didn't think of it. Everything on the snare is made by Mapex, however, and the snare is definitely bad ass. The Birdseye maple is a thicker/harder type material that produces a beautifully heavy overall sound. Tuning the head to a medium/heavy setting will produce a very distinct crack. This fucker is loud and can easily overpower full amp setups. This snare simply isn't for the faint of heart.

The only professional drummer I know of who used this snare is the guy from ABR. I will share with you there best song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGCVb2EXkAo

Listening to that track truly makes me sad. Hardcore/metalcore and everything else in that energy driven genre was going strong a few years back.

Back on track- I'm willing to do payments on this, possibly. I'm looking to purchase axis longboards with the funds.
