Feeler: Quality prints of your e30/car!

    Hey everyone!

So recently I picked up a Canon Pixma P9000 printer (specs to printer below) and was wondering if anyone in the RI/MA/CT area had any interest in having me (maybe my girlfriend) come and take pictures of your car, or if you have a high res picture of your car I could print them out.

Now the reason that this is a feeler is that I've got no clue of what to even think about charging for this. If you have any insight on this let me know!

    Pm me if interested!

(Obviously wouldn't be doing traveling anywhere that I didn' t specify but if you aren't in those three states and have a picture you might want printed I'm sure there is something we can work out :D)

    Printer Specs:Print Resolution:
    Black: Black: 4800 x 2400 dpi
    Color: 4800 x 2400 dpi
    Paper Sizes: 4"x 6", 4"x 8", 5"x 7", 8"x 10", 13"x 19"

Really 60 views and no one can even say what they might expect to pay?
    Would it be worth $30? 60? 80?

    Lol please any input!

      this might help:

i can order a 24x36 of my car for $36, printed on high quality photo paper. or i can go to my school and print a 41x59 of my car for $20 on high quality poster paper.

how much you want to charge for the actual photograph is up to you, but if you want people to pay for a service you might want to show some pretty amazing photographs that someone couldnt take themselves for it to be worth it to someone.

I'm really just hoping to be able to provide a service for cheaper than you would have to pay elsewhere and still make a small profit. You save money and get something that you might not otherwiise.

I guess I should have some small gtg's and hand out a few freebees! Calling Byron and Mike Day! Know anyone that might want to have a shoot and get one free photo to hang up?

          Bump!
Willing to do a few shoots for free to see if I can gain more interest
          .
Send me a PM if interested with an idea of what the car is: e30? Color? Mods?
Also where do you live? Or where would you like to shoot?

            You rang? ;)

Once my car is running with the new swap I'd be more than happy to be a test subject, lol.

              Lodsin,

valiant effort, however to generate interest, you're gonna need a portfolio, show us, what YOU can do, have us, feel like, holy shit, we need this guy taking pictures of my car! lol.

but, to get to that point, you're gonna prolly have to not charge, at least initially. go to car meets. harass people (kidding), get some experience, get some quality shots, get the word out about you.

THEN. you can get that ball rolling a lot easier.

you're taking these photos right? you or your GF? what kind of camera do you have? what kind of experience do you have?

we need moar info. believe me, its hard enough getting strangers to agree to let you take pictures of them, or their stuff.

granted, i'm not local, so i'm not interested, but i hope you don't take this the wrong way, only trying to help...

Also take a look at costco and wide format printing companies. Printing high quality images has come way down. If you where to offer a full service of shoot, print and some webhosting then you got something.
