I want to purchase better gear. I'm selling mine to fund that. This is 2 separate bodies. First is a D40 body that I purchased new. It has less than 1200 actuations on it. The second is a D50 body that I purchased used. Its been serviced in June of last year. It has 7211 actuations on it as of 10 minutes ago. I have a broken 18-55mm lens that has a good case. Also I have a good 18-55mm lens that has a broken ear on its mounting base. The case from the broken lens can be used to fix this. Also there is a 55-200mm f4-5.6 AF Quantaray, a 70-300mm F4-5.6 AF Quantaray and a 55-200mm F4-5.6 AF Sigma. There's a "wideangle" attachment for the 18-55mm lens in there as well. Also the Pelican 1600 case that houses all of it is available. As you can see the D40 is missing its body cover. You can find these on ebay for very cheap. The Sigma 55-200mm is missing its lens cover as well. Its also on ebay. All of these items have been stored in this case when not in use so I've never worried about the covers. If I were to sell it all together I'd like $1000 for it. Separate prices are:

D40 body only - $300
D50 body only - $375
70-300mm - $125
55-200mm's - $100 each
Case - $100

If I were to trade I'd be interested in trades/partial trades for a D90 or better or a VR 18-200mm lens.

What's up with the D40 body cover? What is it? Why is it missing? And how much does a new one cost? I searched ebay to no avail.

If you look at the two bodies in the picture you see that the one on the left has a cap on the middle of it. The one on the right is open and exposed. Its just a plastic cover that protects the internals from dust and dirt getting into them while the camera is not in use. I kept the camera in the Pelican case so I had no worries about contaminants getting into it. Looks like its less than $3 on ebay:
