working speedos w/new gears and set mileage

Im actually surprised there isnt more interest in this!! Had this happened before my 325s took a dump (and befre it got totalled) I would have jumped on it!! My ///M3's is still good though.

I have some replacement gears for the VDO clusters - the three main drive gears. I can swap the small drive gear that most commonly breaks on the motometers as well, as they are the same gear. I've swapped a couple different sets out, and my personal cluster has been ticking for several hundred miles with no problems on the swap. These are made out of Acetal polymers. This being said, these are not the ultra-high quality gears from odometergears.com, and I'm in no way trying to detract from what he's done - just making a viable cheaper option for those of us who are budget-challenged/minded like me.

Gear swap (bring me odo removed) $30
Cluster uninstall/install +$10

I can set the mileage on these things too, but it's kind of a PITA and I want to avoid any complications.

LMK if this is something anyone would be interested in.

also, a VDO speedo unit will operate in a motometer cluster. just food for thought.

Because of the lack of interest (probably due to shipping both ways) I've decided to put together speedos and sell them as units. They will have fresh gears and be set to desired mileage. They are interchangeable and will work in either VDO or Motometer clusters. Will be making a yard run this weekend to pick some up, so these should be available starting sometime mid-March. The price will be $55 shipped and/or an additional $10 core.
