I bought one here a few months ago, just put it in a week ago. Everybody is shaped differently but it was angled too much to the rear for me. I removed 10 degrees of bend and really like it. I can engage 5th gear without my right shoulder moving forward.

I was under the impression that they were NLA.

i had to make a lot of calls to pick mine up. everywhere said NLA, then RMEURO got a line on what they said was the last one in the cont US.

however, i have since sold it.

i have an e39 m5 lever if anyone is interested...

i ordered mine from the dealer. I can probably get the part number tomorrow if you need it. To get it to fit correctly I cut about an inch off the bottom of the main body with a pipe cutter and a razor so i could put it on a press. Once on the press, I got it pretty straight and I like it. Great feel

it's all preference, i drove it both in stock form and straightened. each has benefits and weaknesses.

Mine is pretty straight. I'll try to snap a picture tonight and post it. I think if you were to install it without straightening it, it would be really far back.

The original lever is angled back 10 degrees while the X5 lever is angled back 30 degrees. I removed 10 from mine making it 20 degrees angled back.

                              This is mine in neutral.
