They aren't the same ones that Art has, very similar, tho. The ones Art has have a lot more spokes, and a bit more of a lip.

There was a turbo M50 car on the cover of PBMW a few months ago that had the same ones Art has, I believe they're from an E32 7, possibly on some E34s. They're great looking, I would love a set.

Best pic I can find online, but you can see they have a decent lip on them, and I can't for the life of me find what car they came from:

sure but it seems the issue your missing is that if in fact they are trx wheels its nearly impossible to find tires for them , like special order only and thats a stretch at times...also from experience when i was trying to find a set of tires for a guy who had the trx's on his e24 the best price we found was like 325 per tire... not even close to worth it

              Google search:

"The TRX concept wasn't just weird tire & wheel sizes. They developed a different bead and rim flange"

              Not just a 16" wheel

because the OP measured the wheels and its close to 16". THEY ARE NOT 16" WHEELS!!! Yes, people can make mistakes but they are roughly 15.75" wheels. Go find me a set of 15.75" tires

i wish i could run them. is there any way of getting them machined to fit a normal tire. probably a dumb question but i was reading about it when i googled it.

this site is for you guys:

you will see on the left at the top, the TRX wheels. towards the bottom of that list on the first page you see the style 15s (e38), the caps that Art has on the grey car, and which Janderson posted on the blue car. they are near impossible to find in existence, let alone some for sale. that blue car is only the 3rd car i've ever seen them on.

this place has a listing for them, not sure if they have just one or a whole set, but $161 per wheel is a good price for 5lug guys: http://www.finishlinewheels.com/BMW/7%2BSERIES/1998/

They look like 16.5 inch metric wheels off of e24/e28/e32.

The white wheels and the one on the magazine are from an e38. Very rare. I've only ever seen them on one e38
