Can the faces be mounted behind the lips? That would lower the offset correct?

Noob question, but i know nothing about the construction of LM's

They will fit and bolt on- but there will be a very minor gap. The reason is because front mounted BBS LM faces have a rounded flange. (see green circle)

To be 100%, you'd need to make that rounded edge a 90 degree angle for the faces to fit completely flush against the barrel.
