I am going to be making myself a set of custom center caps because I looked all over and couldnt find conical caps anywhere for BBS RMs.
If there is any interest for very affordable conical caps, or if there is interest for flat caps I can change up the design a little and make them as well. Spinfab and other companies sell these polished aluminum caps for 200 dollars or more, and I can gurantee a better price for these caps. They will be built to the same specs as a stock cap, except the conical part that you actually see, and will snap into place exactly the same using a rubber O-ring.
I just acquired all of the specs today and drew up a quick sketch, and will be making a CAD drawing in SolidWorks tomorrow and will post it up to give an idea of what they will look like. If I have time I may even change up the specs and make a CAD drawing for the flat caps as well.
The caps will be machined from aluminum, and then fully polished by hand to achieve a mirror finish.
Like I said this is in the drafting stage right now, and am just here to gauge interest in these affordable caps. Depending on the price I can get for the aluminum the price I am thinking now should be between 100 and 150 dollars per set of 4, and I would also be willing to sell individually as well at a prorated price.
If for some reason there is more interest in BBS RS caps, I may also give that a shot, but would need to acquire the specs and thread size and pitch, so for now I will most likely be sticking with the RM caps. Depending on how much interest I can get I should be able to start manufacturing these by the end of the month. The more interest I get the more I will rush the production, but I am in college, so this is just a hobby for me.
If interested PM me on here, or post on the thread. KEEP THIS AT THE TOP GUYS!
