Man, why does everybody price these so high? I paid $40 for a set of 4 14" weave caps that are basically the same thing. Seems like people want $150 for a set of 4 used beat caps, and they're $200 new with new emblems.. http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-OEM-BBS-...BWMCTL&vxp=mtr

I wanted to break this down a little bit for other people looking for caps..

The center cap is a assembly. There's 6 pieces on each assembly.
1. Emblem
2. Emblem insert
3. Center nut
4. Retaining spring
5. Waffle
6. Black locking ring

Those parts interchanged over a lot of different caps, I don't have a list but those parts are able to be mix and matched. For example, the 14" weave caps like this:

use the same (4 out of 6) pieces as the 15" m3 weaves or the 16" m5 wheels. The two parts that are not the same are the black locking ring and the waffle. The waffle is a part that is commonly used on other BBS wheels like the RS. The 14" waffle is the small thread waffle, and the 15-16" is you guessed it, large thread.

Well, I searched ebay for hours and was able to find 2 caps that weren't labeled correctly. Since they look the same as the one piece center caps from the front, it took a while to go through all of the listings but it was worth it. $17 and $10 shipped for 2 of them.
Anybody have any caps or parts of caps? Willing to trade for 14" caps plus cash or spend around $25 for each complete cap.

Still looking for 2 15-16" caps.
The $17 cap showed up bent, but I was able to straighten it out.
Then the $10 cap showed up and I could immediately tell how much more force the locking actuation can be on new caps. I sent the dude another $10 out of principle. Shipping was half of that, 10% paypal fees, and gas to take it to the post office left next to nothing for the seller.

There is a major difference in holding strength in new vs. used, and $50 each new is really a good price. I'll buy 2 new if nobody here wants to sell a couple for $60 shipped. ECS has them for $49 and free shipping I do believe.

If anybody wants the 4x14" weave caps I put in the picture above I will let them go for $60 shipped.

Oh yeah.. forgot to add: There's a set of caps I found on ebay that were listed as 14" e30 caps.. I asked the seller for a pic of the back and I found out they were IX/m3/m5 caps and I told him they were, and that's what I was looking for. He say's "make me a offer I want to give you a good deal". I tell him if he changes his listing to what the caps actually are there is a good chance he could get more than the $75 he has them listed for. I offer to wait until after the auction ends and give him what he's asking, if nobody bids.

He says he is wanting more because the caps are worth $300. And then he changes the listing, adds a reserve. No telling what he wants to get, maybe somebody here wants them more than I.
